Raptors Fill Out Training Camp Roster With Canadian Forward
The Toronto Raptors once again have a full roster ahead of training camp.
Just a day after signing and waiving Dylan Disu, Toronto has inked Montreal's Quincy Guerrier to an Exhibit 10 deal ahead of training camp next month. The deal will allow Toronto to keep Guerrier's G League rights for next season once he is waived by the organization.
Toronto just underwent the same process with Disu who will now join the Raptors 905 for next season. He'll likely play alongside Jamison Battle, Jared Rhoden, and Guerrier who are all on Exhibit 10 deals.
Guerrier, 25, was a fifth-year senior for Illinois last year where he averaged 9.6 points and 6.1 rebounds per game as a 6-foot-7 wing. He shot 37.4% from three-point range last year on 115 attempts and projects as an intriguing versatile forward with some shooting upside.
With Guerrier signed, Toronto's training camp roster is back to 21 players as the team gets set to head to Montreal next month for training camp. The expectation is Toronto will make two more Exhibit 10 signings before the end of training camp to fill out their G League roster.
Based on the current roster, it appears as though Bruno Fernando will make Toronto's opening day roster as the team's third-string center. The 6-foot-9 big man is on a standard non-guaranteed contract that will pay him $2.4 million if he make Toronto's roster for the start of the regular season. He is currently the only player on a standard non-guaranteed deal.
