BREAKING: Rockets Ex Chris Paul Traded to Warriors
The NBA world has jaws on the floor in the hours leading up to the NBA Draft.
According to The Athletic, the Washington Wizards are trading Chris Paul (who was recently acquired in the Bradley Beal deal) to the Golden State Warriors for Jordan Poole, Ryan Rollins, a 2027 second-round pick and a 2030 first-round selection.
Paul, 38, is now set to be on his third team since leaving the Houston Rockets back in 2019. After Paul was traded for Beal on Sunday, the future Hall-of-Fame point guard's future was up in the air. However, there is more clarity now as he joins Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson with the Warriors.
In an ironic twist of fate, Paul joins the team that infamously eliminated the Rockets in the 2018 and 2019 playoffs. In Game 5 of the 2018 Western Conference Finals, Paul led the Rockets to victory while injuring his ankle, forcing him to sit out of Games 6 & 7, both of which the Warriors won en route to their third NBA championship in four years.
With Paul in the fold, the Warriors now seek their fifth title in the last decade ... and the first for CP3.
