Warriors' Donte DiVincenzo Could Sign with Rockets in Free Agency

The Houston Rockets are among the teams interested in signing Golden State Warriors guard Donte DiVincenzo.

The Houston Rockets could look to sign one of their former foes from the Golden State Warriors.

According to HoopsHype's Michael Scotto, the Rockets are among the teams interested in Warriors guard Donte DiVincenzo.

"Donte DiVincenzo could land a new contract worth somewhere around the non-taxpayer mid-level exception and is drawing significant interest around the league from several teams, including the New York Knicks, Minnesota Timberwolves, Detroit Pistons, New Orleans Pelicans, Houston Rockets, Orlando Magic, and Chicago Bulls, league sources told HoopsHype," Scotto writes.

DiVincenzo, 26, averaged 9.4 points per game with the Warriors last season on a two-year contract with a player option for 2023-24, and it's possible that he could look for more of a long-term deal this summer.

The Rockets have been linked to multiple wings on the free agent market, including Dillon Brooks and Bruce Brown, so their interest in DiVincenzo isn't all that surprising.

DiVincenzo also has championship experience, winning the 2021 NBA title with the Milwaukee Bucks and the 2018 NCAA Tournament with the Villanova Wildcats.

Free agency kicks off at 5 p.m., where all 30 teams can begin negotiating and reaching verbal agreements with players in and out of the organization.
