Jalen Green Injured As Rockets Fall To Thunder In Final Game Before All-Star Break
The Houston Rockets will enter the All-Star break following one of their worst performances of the season. The Rockets losing streak reached seven following a 133-96 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder Wednesday night.
Jabari Smith Jr. led the Rockets in scoring with 15 points (4-8 FG, 2-4 3PT), nine rebounds, two blocks and a pair of steals. Smith was one of five players who scored in double figures for the Rockets.
Jalen Green's night came to a premature end late in the second quarter. He sustained a left groin injury and exited the game with 14 points. He scored 11 during the second period, where the Rockets trailed the Thunder 76-54 at halftime.
In addition to Green, Jae'Sean Tate also went down with an injury.
He sustained an ankle injury early in the third quarter. He tried to play through the injury. But his night came to an end midway through the third period. Tate finished with 11 points in 19 minutes.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the way for Oklahoma City with 29 points on 8-of-16 shooting and six assists. Luguentz Dort added 15 points (5-19 FG), while Dario Saric came off the bench and contributed a dozen points.
Rockets' season series comes to an end vs. OKC:
With the loss, the Rockets closed their four-game regular-season series against the Thunder. The series ended in a 2-2 tie.
Kevin Porter Jr.'s injury update:
Kevin Porter Jr. missed his 17th consecutive game due to a left foot contusion. But according to the Houston Chronicle, Porter held a pre-game workout alongside assistant coach John Lucas II. Coach Stephen Silas hopes to receive more information regarding Porter's injury following the All-Star break.

The Rockets will make their return from the All-Star break on Feb. 24. They will continue their five-game road trip against the Golden State Warriors before finishing against the Portland Trail Blazers on Feb. 26.
