Watch: Rockets' Jalen Green Pro Run With Kevin Durant And Ex-Teammates
HOUSTON — Jalen Green said winning and making the All-Star team are his top priorities entering his third season with the Houston Rockets. And so far this summer, Green has spent the off-season working on his goals.
Several videos posted on social media Monday showcased Green working out alongside Phoenix Suns' Kevin Durant and Washington Wizards' Kyle Kuzma.
Green participated in Pro Run games where he displayed improvements made to his scoring arsenal. The exhibition contest also featured Juan Toscano-Anderson, Obi Toppin, and former teammates K.J. Martin and Christian Wood.
One social media clip showcased Green connecting on a step-back fadeaway jumper over the top of Toscano-Anderson, which left the former member of the Golden State Warriors stumbling on the defensive end.
Green led the 22-60 Rockets in scoring last season, averaging a career-best 22.1 points on 41.6 percent shooting from the field, 3.7 assists and 3.7 rebounds across 76 games.
Coach Ime Udoka has expressed his excitement to work alongside Green since taking the helm as the Rockets' coach in April. Udoka described Green as "a natural scorer" but would like the third-year guard to become an all-around player.
A Pro Run exhibition contest in Los Angeles will not be the only training session for Green.
As first reported by The Athletic, Green has been named to the USA Select team this summer. The USA Select Team will practice and scrimmage against the team that will represent the country at the FIBA World Cup this summer.
