HOUSTON — Visual Concepts released the 25th installment of NBA 2K on Friday. The series emulates an authentic simulation of the league. Developers upgrade players' ratings each year to provide a realistic assessment.

In 2K24, Jalen Green, Alperen Sengun and Fred VanVleet are the highest-rated players on the Houston Rockets with an overall grade of 83.

Green, Sengun and VanVleet are three of four players ranked 80 or higher. Kevin Porter Jr. is the final player to crack the 80-club with a rating of 81.

Outside of Darius Days (67) and Trevor Hudgins (68), the remaining players on the Rockets' roster all landed in the 70-club. Tari Eason and Jabari Smith Jr. are making their second installment in the game at 79.

Newly acquired forward Dillon Brooks is a 78 overall — a two-point decrease from 2K23 during his final season with the Memphis Grizzlies.

Rookies Amen Thompson and Cam Whitmore received their inaugural 2K ratings following their debuts at the NBA Summer League tournament in Las Vegas. Thompson received a 76, while Whitmore will enter the game at 74.

The rookie duo both believe their ratings will be much higher by the end of the season.

The highest mark a player can achieve is a 99 overall rating. Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic has the highest rating among active players with a 98.

In general, the Rockets will begin the first installment of 2K24 with an overall team rating of 80. The Boston Celtics are the highest-rated team, with an overall grade of 84.

NBA 2K24 honors the late great Kobe Bryant. He is the cover athlete for the fourth time. The game will feature Mamba Moments, where players can re-live several classics from Bryant's historic career.
