The Houston Rockets will be one of the most active teams hoping to boost their roster ahead of the league's in-season trade deadline, set for Thursday at 2 P.M. CT. Making a trade would give the Rockets a chance to fix several attributes that are hindering their chances of making the postseason.

Houston's most recent defeat came Tuesday night during a 132-129 loss to the Indiana Pacers inside Gainbridge Fieldhouse. As a result, they currently sit two spots outside of the NBA's Play-In Tournament with a 23-27 record.

ROYCE O'NEALE TO PHOENIX The Rockets were one of several teams in the running for former Nets forward Royce O'Neale. However, Houston missed out on the opportunity to land the sharpshooter. 

According to The Athletic's Shams Charania, Brooklyn has finalized a trade sending Royce O’Neale to the Phoenix Suns for salaries and three second-round picks.

ROYCE O'NEALE TO HOUSTON? According to Michael Scotto of HoopsHypes, the Rockets are one of nine teams interested in trading for Royce O'Neale of the Brooklyn Nets. O'Neale is a 6-foot-6 forward averaging 7.4 points on 36.6 percent shooting from behind the arc. 

Other teams in the hunt for O'Neale are the Milwaukee Bucks, Cleveland Cavaliers, Indiana Pacers, Sacramento Kings, Los Angeles Lakers, Dallas Mavericks and Phoenix Suns.

Scotto also added that Rockets' guard Aaron Holiday have gained trade interest around the league.

IS TATE TRADE FROM ROCKETS INEVITABLE? Jae'Sean Tate, the Rockets' longest tenured player could be on the move before the 2 p.m. trade deadline. According to Kelly Iko of The Athletic, the Boston Celtics and Phoenix Suns have expressed trade interest in the versatile forward.

Tate signed with the Rockets as an undrafted free agent following the 2020 NBA Draft. He has since appeared in 224 games, averaging 9.8 points and 4.7 rebounds.
