Rockets Ex Patrick Beverley 'Very High' Chances to Return?

Patrick Beverley played for the Houston Rockets from 2013-17. Could a return be in the cards?
In this story:

The Houston Rockets are hoping a former flame reunites with them this summer, but it may not be the guard everyone thinks.

James Harden rumors back to Houston are flying, but if he were to join, it may bring back another former teammate of his in Patrick Beverley.

"Very highly," Beverley said on his chances to return to the Rockets. "That was one of my decisions when I got traded from the Lakers, but (Houston) told me 'We don't need you right now. You might not play. We need you to mentor young guys.' I still wanted to play."

Beverley, who turns 35 this summer, played for the Rockets from 2013-17 and was traded to the Los Angeles Clippers for Chris Paul almost six years ago, but Houston could become his home once again.

Beverley has played for the Clippers, Minnesota Timberwolves, Los Angeles Lakers and Chicago Bulls since leaving the Rockets and has continued to be a source of energy and defense in the backcourt.

His veteran leadership and defensive intensity could be exactly what the Rockets need in order to return to relevancy.
