HOUSTON -- The Houston Rockets (38-37) will attempt to end their two-game losing streak Thursday night against the streaking Golden State Warriors (41-34). A loss against the Warriors could potentially end the Rockets' pursuit for the 10th and final spot in the Western Conference Play-In Tournament.

The Warriors, riding a five-game winning streak, are entering the Toyota Center three games ahead of Houston. But despite the difficult challenge, the Rockets have not given up on their goal of reaching the postseason.

The Rockets sustained their second consecutive loss in a 113-106 defeat to the Minnesota Timberwolves Tuesday night. The loss marked Houston's second loss since the end of its 11-game winning streak to the Dallas Mavericks Sunday night. They also dropped back-to-back games for the first time since sustaining a three-game losing streak from Feb. 25 to 29.

Jalen Green came out of the gates to illustrate why he should have received Western Conference Player of the Month for March with 26 points, six assists and five rebounds in the loss. Over the previous 10 games, Green is averaging 30.8 points on 50.2 percent shooting from the field, 42.3 percent from behind the arc and 7.3 rebounds.
