Spurs vs. Rockets Preview: Houston Looks To Close Home-And-Home Series With Win
HOUSTON — The Houston Rockets (14-49) will return to the court Sunday night for the back half of a home-and-home series against the San Antonio Spurs (16-48) inside the Toyota Center.
The Rockets recorded a 122-110 road victory over the Spurs Saturday night. The win ended Houston's 11-game losing streak.
Tari Eason came one-point shy of his career high. He came off the bench and scored 20 points (7-11 FG, 2-3 3PT) and five rebounds. Josh Christopher contributed to the production from Houston's reserve unit with 14 points (6-12 FG), four assists and a pair of steals.
"It felt good to get a win," Eason said. "We were able to get the monkey off our backs. But we have another game against the same team. They are going to come out hungry. We have to go out and bring that same fight."
In the final regular season match against the Spurs, the Rockets are trailing San Antonio 1-2. The Spurs won the first two games against Houston by an average margin of 14 points.
