Rockets Schedule Released: How Many Wins for Houston?

The Houston Rockets schedule is out. How many wins can they grab in the upcoming season?
In this story:

The Houston Rockets have been handed their schedule and now they know the who, when and where of the teams they will face throughout the season.

While this doesn't change a whole lot, the schedule release provides an opportunity to see what the team's win-loss record will look like in the upcoming season.

Bleacher Report projects that the Rockets will be 30-52, eight wins better than this past season.

"VanVleet's leadership and Brooks' defense could help, but the expected improvement of intriguing young talents like Jabari Smith Jr., Jalen Green and Alperen Şengün should move the needle more," Bleacher Report writes. "If Amen Thompson's playmaking is more NBA-ready than we realize, then that over/under is really in trouble."

The Rockets will open the season with two road games against the Orlando Magic and San Antonio Spurs on Oct. 25 and 27. They will host their home opener on Oct. 29 against the Golden State Warriors, marking the start of a seven-game homestand that will run through Nov. 12 ... giving Houston a massive opportunity to tack on some wins early in the season.

From there, the schedule gets a little more difficult, but if Houston can win 30 games this season, it can feel comfortable knowing progress is being made.
