The Houston Rockets sustained their fifth consecutive road loss by falling to the Golden State Warriors.

Since their 0-3 start to the season, the Houston Rockets have made improvements to re-establish themselves as a respectable franchise. But when it comes to playing away from the Toyota Center, the Rockets have yet to put together a 48-minute game to record their first road victory.

Monday night, the Rockets ended their three-game California road trip amid a 121-116 loss to the Golden State Warriors.

The Rockets' performance inside the Chase Center may have been their worst since the season-opening defeat to the Orlando Magic on Oct. 25. Houston's improved defense was non-existent in San Francisco.

Behind Klay Thompson's 20 points, the Warriors shot 48.8 percent from behind the arc. Thompson began the night by scoring a dozen points in the first quarter, which led to Houston trailing 29-27 entering the second period.

Stephen Curry led the Warriors with a game-best 32 points on 8-of-14 shooting, 3-of-5 from behind the arc.

Alperen Şengün, who came into the game questionable due to a back contusion, did not have a great start. But the third-year Turkish native began to find his rhythm in the second quarter, where he scored nine points.

He finished with a team-high 30 points (13-23 FG), to go along with 13 rebounds and five assists.

Despite the loss, the Rockets had equal scoring against the Warriors. Jalen Green scored 16 points, while Jabari Smith Jr. added 17 points, nine rebounds and two blocks.

Tari Eason missed the second night of a back-to-back due to leg management, but Aaron Holiday filled the vacancy. He came off the bench and posted 13 points, four steals and four rebounds in 28 minutes.
