Rockets' Tari Eason Shuts Down YouTuber: 'I Can Get Two Points'
HOUSTON — YouTuber Deshae Frost featured Houston Rockets' Tari Eason in his latest video.
Frost spent the beginning of the YouTube Video amazed by Eason's 6-foot-9 stature. But Eason's height did not prevent Frost from challenging the second year forward to a quick game of one-on-one. Frost stands at 5-foot-6.
Eason easily defeated Frost on the blacktop. He dunked on Frost several times without breaking a sweat. And on the defensive end, Eason recorded four blocks, as Frost failed to score.
The one-on-one contest came about after Frost claimed he could score at least two points in an NBA game.
"I really feel like if I was in the NBA, at my size and all, I can get two points," Frost said. "I know for sure. Do you know how quickly I can shoot? If I have LeBron [James] on my team, that's all I need."
Although Eason is a professional NBA player, his play against Frost validated his dedication to the game during his two-year collegiate career.
Eason revealed to Frost and his friends that he did not attend parties in college. His top priority was getting better in hopes of playing in the pros after his college career.
After transferring from Cincinnati to LSU, Eason took home First-Team All-SEC honors. He became an intriguing prospect for the Rockets entering the 2022 NBA Draft after averaging 16.9 points, 6.6 rebounds, 1.9 steals and 1.1 blocks across 33 games for the Tigers. The Rockets drafted Eason with the No. 17 pick via the Brooklyn Nets.
"Did he teleport?" Frost said. "He is longer than what I expected him to be. I would shoot the ball. It would be in the air. But then, all I would see is a hand that came and grabbed it."
