The Houston Rockets will attempt to end a two-game losing streak Friday against the Philadelphia 76ers.

HOUSTON — After falling to the Phoenix Suns in their previous game, the Houston Rockets will try to end a two-game losing streak Friday night against the Philadelphia 76ers. The interconference match will be the third of seven consecutive games inside the Toyota Center. 

The 76ers will take the court without league MVP Joel Embiid, which could lead to Alperen Şengün having another dominant performance. After scoring a career-best 37 points against the New Orleans Pelicans, Şengün is averaging 30.3 points, 10.7 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 2.3 steals.

"I'm just 21," Şengün said. "I have a long way to go. I am going to give my best every day on the court, fight and help my teammates. If it's my day, it will be my day. If it's someone else's, I am going to help them. Just taking it day by day."

Similar to Şengün, Tyrese Maxey is also having a breakout season for the 76ers, averaging 25.8 points and 6.6 assists in 29 games.
