Houston Rockets vs. Phoenix Suns Preview: How To Watch, Injury Reports, Lineups, More
The Houston Rockets (24-31) will play the first game of a brief two-game home stand on Friday against the Phoenix Suns (33-23) inside the Toyota Center. The Rockets will be looking to avoid extending their losing streak to three games.
In their last game against the New Orleans Pelicans Thursday night, the Rockets lost 127-105, and remain one of the worst teams in the NBA away from their home arena. Despite the embarrassing loss, the team was not without its good performances in the game.
One of the few bright spots in the loss was the play of rookie Amen Thompson off the bench. He finished with a career-high 22 points shooting an impressive 9 of 13 from the field off the bench. He also stuffed the rest of the stat sheet with five rebounds, four assists, and three blocks. The team will need performances like this if they want to scrape together a run late in the season.
The Rockets will have their work cut out for them, as their next game against the Suns will not be an easy one. They have won seven of their last ten games, and that has come as a result of great play of Kevin Durant and Devin Booker. If the Rockets want to get a win vs. the Suns, they will need to attempt to slow down the play of the Suns' dynamic duo.
