Rockets vs. Trail Blazers Preview: How to Watch, Injury Reports, Lineups, More
The Houston Rockets will begin a three-game road trip Friday night against the Portland Trail Blazers. The game comes following the Rockets' 122-116 home loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday.
Houston allowed the Clippers to score 78 points on 67.5 percent shooting from the field and 61.5 percent from behind the arc. Paul George scored 19 of his 21 points in the second half, where the Clippers completed their comeback attempt.
The collapse came after the Rockets put together arguably their best start of the season. Their defense held Los Angeles to 37.5 percent shooting while missing 11 of their first 13 attempts from behind the arc when the Rockets held a 20-point lead with five minutes left in the second quarter.
The Rockets have been horrific on the road this season. However, two of Houston's next three games will come against teams well below .500, which starts against the Blazers.
Portland is coming off a 128-120 defeat to the Oklahoma City Thunder Wednesday night. Anfernee Simons led the way with 29 points in the loss.
