NBA Power Rankings: Rockets Rising After Win Streak?

The Houston Rockets won a season-high three straight games last week. Where does that put them in this week's power rankings?
In this story:

The Houston Rockets are back to their losing ways, dropping both games in a back-to-back against the New Orleans Pelicans and Golden State Warriors.

But before that, the Rockets tacked on a season-high three consecutive wins last week at home against the Boston Celtics, Los Angeles Lakers and the aforementioned Pelicans.

The win streak enabled the Rockets to move up two spots in this week's power rankings from Sports Illustrated. The team rose from No. 29 to 27.

"Houston won three in a row last week for the first time all season," SI writes. "The streak began against Boston last Monday, powered by 28 points from Jalen Green and double doubles by Jabari Smith Jr. and Kevin Porter Jr. The Rockets outlasted the Lakers a few nights later and then beat the Pelicans as well, with each game decided by four points or fewer. The run came to an end Sunday with a 10-point loss to New Orleans despite Green’s 40 points."

The Rockets now hit the road for their last big road trip of the season. It starts with a pair of games in Memphis on Wednesday and Friday and continues on Sunday with a trip to visit the Cleveland Cavaliers.
