Rockets' Ime Udoka Praises Jalen Green After First Career Triple-Double

Jalen Green notched his first-ever triple-double in the Houston Rockets' loss against the Atlanta Hawks.

While it came in a loss, there was some positive development from Houston Rockets guard Jalen Green against the Atlanta Hawks.

Green scored 26 points, grabbed 14 rebounds and dished out a career-high 10 assists for his first-ever triple-double. The performance came after Green scored just seven points on Friday night against the Toronto Raptors in one of his poorest games of the season.

The quick flip of the switch impressed coach Ime Udoka.

"He was playing the right way," Udoka said postgame. "He got himself in a groove as far as passing early, finding guys... not playing in the crowd as much. I'd like to have a few back, especially a late pass that got batted down there, but he played a solid game all around. Obviously good to see him passing the ball when he has it in his hands more often. There was some good improvement from last game to tonight."

With Fred VanVleet and Alperen Sengun out of the lineup, Green was tasked with taking on more of a playmaking role, which he succeeded in. While he still has some room for improvement, Green is taking strides. The hope is that he can play like this more consistently in order for the Rockets to move up the standings.

Jalen Green's First Career Triple-Double Not Enough as Houston Rockets Fall to Hawks

Green and the Rockets are back in action tomorrow night when the New York Knicks come to town. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. CT inside Toyota Center.
