Houston Rockets vs. Portland Trail Blazers Preview: How to Watch, Injury Reports, Lineups, More
HOUSTON -- The Houston Rockets (35-35) will close their three-game homestand Monday night against the Portland Trail Blazers inside the Toyota Center. The Rockets will be in a great position to extend their winning streak to nine while attempting to remain as the league's best team in March amid a 10-1 record.
The Rockets took a 147-119 blowout victory over the Utah Jazz Saturday night. Jalen Green led the Rockets in scoring with 41 points on an efficient 15 of 22 shooting. But Green's production against Utah was a sample size of his exceptional play amid Houston's ongoing push toward the Play-In Tournament.
Houston is one game back of the Golden State Warriors for the 10th and final spot of the Western Conference Play-In Tournament. The Warriors sustained a 114-110 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves Sunday night.
"I'm just trying to keep the momentum going, keep being aggressive — that's really it," Green said. "Hopefully, I'm the main focus over there, loading up on defenses so once I drive it [will] be easy kickouts. Guys just guarding me full court just create a whole lane."
