There has been a major development regarding the NBA Draft lottery odds.

Today, the NBA broke the ties based on records, including one between the San Antonio Spurs and Houston Rockets.

The NBA flipped a coin and the Rockets are officially the No. 2 team while the Spurs are No. 3. Khobi Price of the Orlando Sentinel was the first to report the news.

While this doesn't affect the odds for the top overall selection, it does change the specific floors for the two teams.

As the team on the No. 2 track, the Rockets have 14 percent odds for No. 1, 13.4 for No. 2, 12.7 for No. 3, 12 for No. 4, 27.8 for No. 5 and 20 for No. 6.

As the team on the No. 3 track, the Spurs have 14 percent odds for No. 1, 13.4 for No. 2, 12.7 for No. 3, 12 for No. 4, 14.8 for No. 5, 26 for No. 6 and seven percent for the No. 7 selection.

So today's loss for the Spurs likely won't have a huge effect on the final result, but there's a slight chance it could ... and with generational talent Victor Wembanyama as the No. 1 pick, it could change the course of NBA history.

The NBA Draft Lottery is set to take place on Tuesday, May 16 at 7:30 p.m.
