Luka Doncic's Official Injury Status for Spurs-Lakers

The San Antonio Spurs will be down both of their stars for Monday night's makeup contest against the Los Angeles Lakers. Fortunately for the latter, that's only half true for them.
LeBron James is set to miss his fifth straight contest after suffering a groin strain midway through Los Angeles' March 8 game against the Boston Celtics. He's listed as out against the Spurs, but Luka Donćić — dealing with a right ankle sprain — is probable, leaving the Lakers in strong hands.

Doncic has dealt with a decent share of injuries this season, but he's been very available for the Lakers since returning. Through 14 games with the Lakers this season, Doncic is averaging 26.6 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 7.6 assists on 41/35/78 shooting from the field.
Even though Doncic was struggling at first when joining the Lakers, he's seemed to have really found himself now.
San Antonio will be severely depleted after De'Aaron Fox's season was cut short in a joint decision made by him and the Spurs for the point guard to undergo a procedure, set for Tuesday in Los Angeles, to repair ligament damage in his left pinkie.
The decision was made with offseason growth in mind.
"You want to be able to get a full offseason in with the guys," Fox said. "That was really a big part ... we want to be able to grow together in the offseason.”

Victor Wembanyama, De’Aaron Fox and Charles Bassey are OUT alongside the #Spurs’ two-play players.

Victor Wembanyama is also set to sit out after being diagnosed with deep vein thrombosis in his right shoulder on Feb. 20 prior to facing the Phoenix Suns. Since his injury, San Antonio has gone 5-9, and it currently sits tied with the Portland Trail Blazers for the No. 12 seed in the Western Conference.
Earning a second straight win over the Lakers will be a tough ask for a team missing its stars, especially if Donćič does end up suiting up. The Spurs, however, will be prepared either way.
Tipoff from Crypto.com Arena is set for 10:30 p.m. EST.
