Timberwolves vs. Spurs: 3 Best Bets
The San Antonio Spurs are looking to win both games of a back-to-back tonight, as they prepare to host the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Wolves have won two straight games, but their week has been highlighted by Karl-Anthony Towns scoring 62 points in a loss to the Charlotte Hornets.
The Spurs are 0-2 against the Wolves this season and are 1-4 in the second half of back-to-back games. In the two losses, Victor Wembanyama averaged 20.5 points, so the league’s best defense will be focused on trying to stop him tonight.
The Spurs will be without Charles Bassey and Sidy Cissoko, while Dominick Barlow and Zach Collins are questionable. Jaylen Clark will be out for Minnesota.

Our Picks
Safe pick: Julian Champagnie OVER 5.5 points (-125)
In 18 games as a full-time starter, Julian Champagnie has averaged 7.3 points. Not exactly breaking the box score, but he’s been a steady wing for the starting rotation while Keldon Johnson leads the bench unit. He only suited up for the second matchup against the Wolves and scored zero points in three minutes. That being said, his eight-point average over his last five games (while shooting 40 percent from three) suggests that he will continue on his pace.
Opponent pick: Anthony Edwards UNDER 28.5 points (-125)
Over his last five games, Edwards is only averaging 23.6 points. Against Jeremy Sochan and the Spurs, Edwards averages only 22.5 points, so he will have a tough matchup. With Devin Vassell and Sochan focusing on him, he will have to get to the rim if he wants to score, where he will meet one of the most ferocious shot-blockers in the league.
NBA Trade Idea: Spurs Acquire Magic SG Gary Harris?
Team pick: Spurs +10.5 (-110)
Coming off a win, the Spurs do tend to lose, but not normally by a lot. On average this year, they fall to the Wolves by 7.5 points, so asking for a double-digit blowout is a little bit harsh, especially considering that the Spurs have been playing better since their last matchup with Minnesota in early December.
