The San Antonio Spurs could look for a point guard in free agency this offseason.

If the team doesn't re-sign Tre Jones or loses him to another team in restricted free agency, the Spurs could look for a different option. Among those players is Chicago Bulls guard Coby White.

"White, 23, could use a change of scenery after being benched by the Chicago Bulls," Bleacher Report writes. "He's got good size at 6'5" and play either guard position."

White was drafted with the No. 7 overall pick by the Bulls in 2019, but has yet to live up to that lottery selection status in his first four seasons in the league. In 74 games this season with the Bulls, White averaged a career-low 9.7 points per game. He came off the bench all but two times, which could be a reason for his lack of success. Back in 2020-21 as the primary starting guard, White averaged 15.1 points per game.

Perhaps a new situation could work in White's favor, and the Spurs represent a favorable change for him. He could have the opportunity to start and create a pick-and-roll combination with Victor Wembanyama, a player who could help boost his assist numbers and be a complementary piece as a secondary scoring option.
