NBA Power Rankings: Spurs Moving Up After Win vs. Nets?

The San Antonio Spurs won in overtime against the Brooklyn Nets. Where does that put them in this week's power rankings?
In this story:

The San Antonio Spurs are hoping to ride the high from their overtime win on Sunday night against the Brooklyn Nets at the Moody Center in Austin.

It was only the Spurs' 15th victory of the season, but it came in a dominant performance from Victor Wembanyama, and that alone has people buzzing about San Antonio.

It was also enough to push the Spurs up two spots in CBS Sports' latest power rankings from No. 26 to 24.

"Victor Wembanyama brushed aside struggles against the Rockets and Nuggets to put up a casual 33 points, 15 rebounds, seven assists and seven blocks in Sunday's overtime win over the Nets," CBS Sports writes. "There's not much else that you can say about this kid, and it's even more exciting now that the Spurs are actually starting to win a few games."

The Spurs rank ahead of the Nets, Charlotte Hornets, Memphis Grizzlies, Detroit Pistons, Toronto Raptors and Washington Wizards, likely due to Wembanyama and the other teams' poor health.

Spurs 'Focused Really Well' in Victory vs. Nets

The Spurs hope to continue their climb up the power rankings with four games at home this week at the Frost Bank Center. It starts tonight against the Dallas Mavericks and continues on Thursday against the Grizzlies before a pair of contests against the Phoenix Suns on Saturday and Monday.
