NBA Power Rankings: Spurs Rising After Win Streak?

The San Antonio Spurs are winners of two straight games. Where does that put them in this week's power rankings?

The San Antonio Spurs are riding a two-game win streak after losing eight of nine games during the team's Rodeo Road Trip.

The two wins the Spurs notched pushed them up three spots in CBS Sports' latest power rankings. After slotting in at No. 28, the team is now at No. 25.

"Victor Wembanyama put a vice grip on the Rookie of the Year Trophy this week with a signature fourth-quarter performance in Thursday's upset win over the Thunder -- pull-up 3s, wild assists and the block-heard-round-the-world on Chet Holmgren," CBS Sports writes. "It's hard to stand out with Wembanyama as your teammate, but Devin Vassell averaged 22 points, seven assists and six rebounds in the Spurs' 2-1 week."

Wembanyama and Vassell were huge parts of the team's wins this weekend in San Antonio, and in order for the Spurs to continue their winning ways, they will need to keep playing at the level they've been at.

Confidence Growing for Spurs Guard Branham

The Spurs must head back out on the road this week for a three-game trip, which starts tonight against the Houston Rockets. Then, the team heads to northern California as they face Domantas Sabonis and the Sacramento Kings on Thursday before a meeting with Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors on Saturday.
