The Milwaukee Bucks cruised to a win against the San Antonio Spurs, but Gregg Popovich still would want to play the 2021 NBA champions every game.

The San Antonio Spurs lost by 36 points to the Milwaukee Bucks Wednesday night, but if it were up to coach Gregg Popovich, his team would play them every game.

"A lot of guys did a good job. That's the best team [Bucks] in the league," Popovich said. "I would love to be able to play them every night. That would be great for our young kids to see how it gets done. How mistakes are made and what's important. It's always a good night for some reason."

The Bucks have been where the Spurs want to be. As the 2021 NBA champions, the Bucks have been to the mountaintop and could very well be back there this year with the league's best record. Add in the fact that they're coached by Mike Budenholzer, a former Spurs assistant, it further explains why Milwaukee is the model San Antonio aspires to follow.

"Aside from all their [Bucks] talent and experience, they just do everything the right way every single time down," Keita Bates-Diop said. "That's a championship basketball team. You got to learn against teams like that they've been through it with veteran guys."

The Spurs are about as far away from the Bucks as they could be, but by playing these games, Popovich and the team can only hope that they are taking a small step towards where Milwaukee is after every game.
