San Antonio Spurs' Devin Vassell Says Team Has 'Good Vibes'
The San Antonio Spurs were able to keep most of their team together this offseason. They were also able to acquire some new key pieces, with the headline of them obviously being rookie phenom Victor Wembanyama.
As a result of keeping its same core group, the Spurs will hope to have solid team chemistry throughout the entire season. We have seen in the past how important team chemistry can be, with a lot of teams that everyone expected to be good just not living up to hype because of internal chemistry issues.
The core of the Spurs has been young stars Devin Vassell and Keldon Johnson, as well as Tre Jones. As young as these players are, these are the main players who have been with the team the longest. Vassell spoke more about team chemistry in an interview on Wednesday.
"I'm anxious to see this whole team," Vassell said. "Once we're all back together, and we have that camaraderie, it'll be good vibes. That's really been my main thing, trying to see what our lineup is going to be and how everybody is going to play off of each other. I'm just looking forward to that."
Team chemistry could be a big catalyst for the Spurs this season, and it could be a key to the team having success, especially early in the season. Vassell and the Spurs will get a chance to show their chemistry on Friday against the Miami Heat. Tipoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
