"After winning the NBA Draft Lottery, earning the right to draft the No. 1 overall prospect Victor Wembanyama, San Antonio had something to celebrate instantly, knowing the kind of change the 7-4 center was set to bring to the city.

"But it turns out that Wembanyama may be an even better fit for the Spurs than previously thought — specifically on the culture front."

2. VIC STRUGGLES IN FINALS GAME 1

Future San Antonio Spurs center Victor Wembanyama didn't put his best foot forward in Game 1 of the LNB Pro A Finals against Monaco.

Mets 92 was outscored 29-6 in the second quarter and trailed 52-21 at halftime in the rout. The future top pick scored just eight points in an 87-64 loss.

Victor Wembanyama and Metropolitans 92 faces off against Monaco in Game 1 of the LNB Pro A Finals on Monday. Tipoff is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. CT.
