"We have got to do better," San Antonio Spurs forward Jeremy Sochan said about getting Victor Wembanyama involves. "We have to get the ball to him and let him work there ... I think we are all working really hard. It’s not like we don’t want to pass it to him."

San Antonio Spurs rookie Victor Wembanyama is cooling off after a hot start.

In October and November, Wembanyama scored 20 or more points on eight different occasions. However, since December began, he's only had two such games in seven tries. The lack of offense through their best player has hurt the Spurs' chances to win games.

"We have got to do better," Jeremy Sochan said after Saturday's game. "We have to get the ball to him and let him work there ... I think we are all working really hard. It’s not like we don’t want to pass it to him."

Wembanyama didn't play Saturday against the Dallas Mavericks after tweaking his ankle pre-game, but they certainly could've played better with him in the team's 25-point loss.

Part of Wemby's struggles could be teams adjusting to him a little more now that there's more NBA tape on him, but the other part could be the Spurs' poor execution on offense.

'A+!' Wembanyama Praised for Historic Start

The Spurs have a league-worst 106.5 offensive rating, but with a 7-4 phenom like Wembanyama in the post, San Antonio has the potential to be better. It's all about the players around him setting him up for success.

Wembanyama and the Spurs are back in action tomorrow night against the Utah Jazz. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. CT.
