San Antonio Spurs rookie Victor Wembanyama set an NBA record in Thursday night's 118-105 road win over the Portland Trail Blazers.

And though it might not be the kind of record that will be remembered in NBA lore, it's certainly a unique and impressive record nonetheless.

Per the official NBA History account, "Victor Wembanyama also becomes the first player in NBA history to record 30 points and seven blocks in less than 30 minutes played." Wemby finished the win with an impressive stat line of 30 points, six rebounds, six assists and seven blocks in 24 minutes of action.

Wemby is out for the second game of the back-to-back against Portland on Friday.

While it can be hard to evaluate a "battle" between a center and a guard, Wembanyama out-played No. 2 overall pick and Blazers rookie Scoot Henderson, who finished with 25 points, four assists and six turnovers.

Per the NBA, Wembanyama is also the "second rookie in NBA History to record 30+ points, 5+ rebounds, 5+ assists, and 7+ blocks in a game," joining Spurs legend David Robinson during the 1989-1990 season.

There's more!

Wemby, who is the current league leader in blocks per game (3.2), recorded his sixth game with five or more blocks. He's done so in just 27 games.

This season, Wembanyama is leading the Spurs in points (18.8), rebounds (10.4), steals (1.3) and blocks (3.2).
