In this story:

1. NBA SCHEDULE RELEASED "As the NBA tipoff draws closer, every bit of additional info only increases the hype surrounding basketball season, and Thursday afternoon was no exception. The NBA released its entire 2023-24 schedule, giving fans a chance to anticipate big matchups for their team and again, making the Spurs no exception."

2. SPURS GRATEFUL "When drama outside the Spurs organization comes about, like Philadelphia 76ers guard James Harden calling his own team president Daryl Morey a "liar," it makes the Spurs fortunate."

3. WEMBY 2K RATING "The play, which saw the Dallas guard attempt a midrange corner shot, was used to highlight both Wembanyama's height and his expected defensive impact for the San Antonio Spurs this season, which does sense given the rookie's all-time best inaugural 2K rating of 84. But how accurate is that rating?"

4. POP, PARKER LEAVE KAWHI OUT OF HOF SPEECH "When he wasn't frustrating and bottling LeBron James on defense he was a menace offensively in one of the most efficient team efforts in NBA Finals history. Leonard was the easy choice as series MVP.

"That's when it began to unravel."

5. MAMU AT FIBA “San Antonio's big man Sandro Mamukelashvili will be playing for his home country of Georgia in the coming weeks, marking the first time that the National Team has qualified since joining FIBA in 1992."
