The San Antonio Spurs are adding some potential roster depth to the fold as the preseason continues and the regular season approaches. Per Spotrac's Keith Smith, the Spurs have signed former West Virginia Mountaineers guard Erik Stevenson and journeyman guard Paul Watson to training camp deals.

Watson already has a few years of NBA experience under his belt. Undrafted out of Fresno State in 2017, he played in his first NBA game as a member of the Atlanta Hawks in Jan. 2020 before being traded to the Toronto Raptors after appearing in just two games for Atlanta.

Watson's best season came during the 2020-21 campaign when he played in 27 games for the Raptors and made two starts while averaging 4.1 points and 1.7 rebounds. In a 113-102 win over the Orlando Magic in April 2021, Watson posted a career-high 31 points on 10 of 13 shooting, which included eight made 3-pointers.

He last appeared in an NBA game during the 2021-22 season with the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Stevenson, who played for the Spurs during Summer League, played for four different colleges during his time in the NCAA. He began his career by playing two season for the Wichita State Shockers before transferring to Washington for the 2020-21 season. He the played one season at South Carolina before finishing up at West Virginia last season.

During his time with the Mountaineers, Stevenson averaged career-best marks in points (15.4), starts (34) and 3-point percentage (37.9).

The Spurs play their second preseason game on Friday at home against the Miami Heat.
