Spurs Start Win Streak After Beating Pacers

The San Antonio Spurs grabbed their second win in as many games against the Indiana Pacers.

The San Antonio Spurs are stringing wins together after a 117-105 victory against the Indiana Pacers tonight at the Frost Bank Center.

The Spurs started off strong on the defensive end, limiting the offense-heavy Pacers to just 16 points after the first quarter.

San Antonio was able to use that lead as a foundation to control the game. Even when Indiana built a lead of their own, San Antonio was able to stay in the contest. An 11-0 run by the Spurs midway through the third quarter gave them a lead that they wouldn't relinquish.

The Pacers crept up and cut the deficit to a single point with under five minutes to go, but a 10-0 run gave the Spurs a cushion comfy enough to ride the wave to victory.

Victor Wembanyama continued his electric rookie season, leading the Spurs with xx points on xx of xx shooting from the floor. He also grabbed 12 rebounds and dished out six assists while blocking six shots.

T.J. McConnell led the Pacers in scoring with 26 points off the bench. All-Star point guard Tyrese Haliburton struggled, managing just 12 points while missing all six of his 3-point attempts.

NBA Trade Idea: Rockets' Green to Spurs?

The Spurs' win marks the first time the team has won consecutive games since Jan. 26-27 against the Portland Trail Blazers and Minnesota Timberwolves.

San Antonio looks to make it three straight wins on Tuesday when they visit the Houston Rockets. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. CT.
