Happy Thursday, Por Vida fans! Welcome to your morning Spurs Starter.

Last season, the San Antonio Spurs deviated from the "Fiesta" series they'd run for the previous three years with the introduction of a jersey paying homage to the early 1970s era of San Antonio.

The cream jersey featured a unique orange hue — a nod to "decades-long growth and transformation tipped off by the 1968 World’s Fair" — which, in their official announcement, will be returning.

The main difference, however, is that instead of cream, the Spurs are going blue.

“This uniform is as unique as San Antonio itself, with the city’s rich history woven into each element of the design" Spurs Sports & Entertainment Senior Vice President of Brand Engagement Becky Kimbro said in a press release, "and our team looks forward to representing this legacy with pride on the court.”

A closer look at the minutiae of the uniform can be seen here. The Spurs will first don it Nov. 21 against the Utah Jazz, when last year's City Edition court will also return.

Now, onto the headlines.
