Spurs' Tre Jones Set to Make First Start of Season vs. Bucks
San Antonio Spurs guard Tre Jones is reportedly set to make his first start of the season in tonight's game against the Milwaukee Bucks at Frost Bank Center, per Jeff McDonald of the San Antonio Express-News.
With second-year guard Malaki Branham doubtful due to an ankle injury, Jones will give the Spurs a traditional point guard in the starting lineup for the first time this season after experimenting with Branham and Jeremy Sochan as primary ball-handlers.
Prior to Tuesday's meeting against the Memphis Grizzlies, Jones said that he's focused on doing what's best for the team, regardless of whether or not he's starting.
"I continue to just try to take care of what I can," Jones said. "I try to be a leader for this team both on and off the court. When my name is called, I am ready. My main goal is always to just to try to win. No matter what role I am, I just have to try to continue to do that."

Though the Spurs are in a tough spot as one of the worst teams in the league, Jones is a vital part of the future of this roster. He'll look to help San Antonio (5-28) pick up its sixth win of the season against a Bucks team (24-10) that continues to look like a contender in the Eastern Conference thanks to the star power of Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard.
