No, Victor Wembanyama doesn't have a signature shoe yet, but it seems that his deal with Nike will continue into his rookie season after being spotted in new unreleased NOCTA Glides when handing out the first pitch at Yankee Stadium on June 20 prior to the draft.

The shoe that released on Friday was modeled after the Zoom Flight 95 with the air bubbles on the side of the sole being the distinct inspiration.

"This silhouette is designed with a textile upper that makes for a more breathable and lightweight shoe," Nike says. "Inclusive of a zoom air bag in the forefoot, durable rubber, GTEK outsole tractions, translucent rubber outsole, and combined with the custom NOCTA logo on tongue. The NOCTA Glide was a reference to the game of basketball and was made to be worn for lifestyle moments."

Wenbanyama's shoe deal, which is rumored to be over $100 million, now seems to have the big man as a big part of Nike going forward. Rather than have the San Antonio Spurs phenom read off a script, Nike allowed him to share his basketball philosophy built around being a two-way player in their newest campaign.

Wembanyama wore a size 20.5 of a custom model of the Nike Zoom G.T. and he is expected to wear new models of the same footwear throughout his rookie season before he can get his own signature shoe.

No matter where the 7-4 rookie goes, Nike will be keeping a close eye, waiting for the day where they can get the phenom to debut their new sneakers.
