Spurs Reveal Victor Wembanyama Debut Plan

Fans have been waiting for the NBA debut of San Antonio Spurs rookie Victor Wembanyama.

The NBA world has been waiting. And now, the debut of San Antonio Spurs rookie star Victor Wembanyama is right on the horizon.

After the Spurs wrap up play at the California Classic on Wednesday against the Los Angeles Lakers, they'll travel to Las Vegas to begin action at the Vegas Summer League on Friday against the Charlotte Hornets inside the Thomas & Mack Center. Wembanyama had always been expected to play in Vegas in some capacity, though any details about the team's plans were few and far between.

But now, according to insider Marc Stein, Spurs and NBA fans alike can expect when to see the French phenom in action. Wembanyama is expected to take the floor against the Hornets on Friday.

"The Spurs' current plan is indeed for Victor Wembanyama to make his San Antonio debut Friday night in Las Vegas against Charlotte," Stein tweeted.

If all goes to plan, Wembanyama will now face off against No. 2 overall pick Brandon Miller during his Summer League debut. Without Wembanyama, the Spurs easily handled the Hornets at the California Classic on Monday in a dominant 98-77 win.

Now adding him to the fold, San Antonio will look for another win over Charlotte during Summer League.
