In this story:

The San Antonio Spurs hope to bounce back after a bad loss on Sunday night with the first of a two-game series in the Valley against the Phoenix Suns.

The Spurs have a schedule advantage in this one, having rested last night while the Suns hosted the Dallas Mavericks. But even with the schedule advantage, the Suns have an edge in the talent department.

The Suns represent a strong test for the Spurs as a contender taking on one of the earliest rebuilding teams. Tonight's game could be the first time Victor Wembanyama takes on Kevin Durant in an NBA game.

No player has had Wembanyama's length and shooting abilities since Durant, so the two meeting up on the court for the first time should be an exciting matchup. If the Spurs can limit turnovers and take advantage of the Suns while they face their first back-to-back of the season, San Antonio could make this game competitive down the stretch and grab its first road victory of the season.
