Spurs Fiesta 5: San Antonio Offense Explodes in Win vs. Kings

Inside The Spurs identifies five of the biggest NBA storylines in addition to relevant San Antonio Spurs news and analysis.

In this story:

1. SPURS OFFENSE HAS SEASON-BEST PERFORMANCE

"The Spurs were led by Doug McDermott, who scored a game-high 30 and Julian Champagnie, who dropped a career-high 26 in the victory. Champagnie's previous game-high was 12, but obliterated that total in the first half alone. He also knocked down four triples, including three in the second quarter."

2. DEFENSE COMES IN CLUTCH TOO

"Holding just a two-point lead with 2:19 to go, the Spurs held the Kings scoreless until there was just 25 seconds left, where Harrison Barnes knocked down a pair of free throws. During that stretch of nearly two minutes, the Spurs scored the six points necessary to ice the game and snap the team's six-game losing streak."

3. LEBRON SPEAKS ON ANGEL REESE TAUNTING

LeBron James has spoken his peace in the Angel Reese debate, and the Los Angeles Lakers star issued some online support for the LSU Tigers basketball star who taunted Iowa's Caitlin Clark at the end of the national title game.

"FACTS!!!! Love to see it," LeBron wrote in response to a tweet about Reese's gesture.

LeBron then retweeted some takes about the trash talking between Reese and Clark - who, for the record, has been "guilty'' of using the same "You can't see me!'' gesture.

"If you praised Caitlin Clark as competitive, fiery, and passionate for doing the “You can’t See me” celebration and are criticizing Angel Reese for the same we already know!!" former NFL player Ryan Clark tweeted.
