1. XMAS DAY FOR SPURS? "This season, the Spurs will start to see Wembanyama's effects off of the basketball court, and one of them could mean a game on Christmas Day."

2. SPURS IMPROVEMENTS "[San Antonio's improvement] isn't just about the arrival of Wembanyama," the site wrote. "The Spurs used their cap space to take on real basketball players. Reggie Bullock is a legit 3-and-D wing. Cameron Payne adds half-court wiggle and playmaking, [and] Cedi Osman will space the floor."

3. WEMBY'S PERFECT SPOT "Obviously I'm a little biased, but I think he's in a perfect spot with Coach Pop, one of the best coaches in NBA history," Parker told "Inside Hook" Magazine this week. "I think he's going to have the patience he needs to meet expectations. He did his homework. He knows he's ready. He's in the right spot."

4. ENGELLAND'S EFFECTS "I worked in San Antonio with Chip Engelland, one of the great teachers of shooting and the game," Sullivan said. "And he’s also, to me, one of the best coaches of coaches out there. He really taught me how to teach. And for that I’ll never be able to repay him fully. He’s one of the people I owe a lot to."

5. FOURNIER STAYING WITH KNICKS? "I think the Knicks are going to have opportunities again, to move Fournier," Begley said on the Orange and Blue Bloods podcast. "But at this point, I don’t know, it just feels like they’re comfortable going into the season with him on the roster, out of the rotation and disgruntled.”
