Spurs Starter, Friday, November 8, 2024: A Double-Double for Keldon Johnson
Happy Friday, Por Vida fans! Welcome to your morning Spurs Starter.
In a 118-105 win over the Portland Trail Blazers on Thursday night, Keldon Johnson delivered an impressive performance off the bench.
Johnson contributed 17 points on 6-of-13 shooting, including 2-for-5 from beyond the arc. He also grabbed 11 rebounds, dished out three assists, and avoided any turnovers.
This marked Johnson’s fifth consecutive game scoring in double figures.
“[We] got punched in the mouth last night, so the reaction and response were awesome,” said interim coach Mitch Johnson. “I’m proud of those guys. We had a couple of guys out, and it was a complete team effort.”
The Spurs, now 4-5 on the season, will face the Utah Jazz at home tomorrow at 4:00 p.m. CT.
