The San Antonio Spurs are currently on a six-game losing streak, but there's still tons of hype surrounding rookie star Victor Wembanyama.

The No. 1 overall pick has had some ups, downs and growing pains with tons of jaw-dropping plays in between. There's stills tons to prove, but early indications are giving bettors and sportsbooks a lot of confidence that Wembanyama could earn some individual hardware once the season is over.

Ahead of San Antonio's In-Season Tournament matchup at home against the Sacramento Kings on Friday, Wemby is still at or near the top in some major award races.

Per SI Sportsbook, Wembanyama remains the betting favorite to win Rookie of the Year (-376). The only who really comes close to him from a betting perspective is Oklahoma City Thunder center Chet Holmgren (+300).

Wembanyama is third in the NBA with 2.4 blocks per game, which has him tied for the third-best odds to win Defensive Player of the Year (+800). Minnesota Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert (+500) is the current betting favorite.

Through his first 11 career games, Wembanyama leads the Spurs in points (18.6), rebounds (9.3) and blocks.

He's also learning how to deal with losing for one of the first times in his career.

"I think all of us on the court have good intentions and we learn a lot from the coaching staff defensively, so we're just trying to apply what they say," Wembanyama said. "I think what's good is we're bringing energy all the time, so this is a good start. We have great potential defensively. I know in the past games, especially in Phoenix, we've seen great defensive sequences. We're just all getting it together."
