Today is the day all San Antonio Spurs fans have been waiting for. Victor Wembanyama plays basketball in a Spurs jersey today.

Facing off against No. 2 pick Brandon Miller, Wembanyama and the Spurs hope to grab their second win against the Charlotte Hornets this week. The Spurs, without Wembanyama, beat the Hornets in their California Classic opener on Monday in Sacramento.

Even though tonight's game won't matter much afterwards, Wembanyama's first game in a Spurs uniform represents a lot for a franchise synonymous with winning. Wembanyama is a beacon of hope and what could be for the Spurs' future, and tonight ... the future is now.

It's unsure how much Wembanyama will play in his first action with the Spurs, but any minutes that he sees tonight should have San Antonio buzzing. Win, lose or draw, another chapter in Wembanyama's journey starts today, and that's noteworthy.

Sure, there's more than just Wemby for the Spurs to be excited about. Julian Champagnie, Dominick Barlow, Malaki Branham or Sidy Cissoko could build off their strong showings in Sacramento, or a new hero could rise and give San Antonio hope.

Here's a look at the information you need to know for tonight's game ...
