Victor Wembanyama Leads Spurs in Blowout Over Hornets For Second Straight Win
For the first time since early November, the San Antonio Spurs have put together an winning streak.
The Spurs (7-30) hosted the Charlotte Hornets (8-28) at the Frost Bank Center on Friday night and left no doubt in a 135-99 blowout win, one of the team's best games of the season.
San Antonio beat the Detroit Pistons 130-108 on Wednesday. It's the first time SA has put together back-to-back wins since Nov. 2 when the team beat the Phoenix Suns twice during the back end of a three-game road trip.
Coming off of his first-career triple-double against Detroit, Spurs rookie star Victor Wembanyama dominated the Hornets to the tune of a team-high 26 points to go along with 11 rebounds and two blocks.
The Spurs had six players in double figures, as Doug McDermott had 14 off the bench while Jeremy Sochan and Devin Vassell had 13 and 12 points, respectively.
Hornets star guard LaMelo Ball returned from injury and dazzled, posting a game-high 28 points along with five assists and five steals. Terry Rozier had 16 points while Miles Bridges added 14 points and nine rebounds.

The Spurs trailed right at the start but took the lead and never looked back, eventually leading by as many as 38 at one point.
San Antonio will look to make it three wins in a row on Saturday night at home against the Chicago Bulls.
