The San Antonio Spurs are less than two weeks away from the NBA Trade Deadline, and they could be a player as both a buyer and seller.

While they are most likely to be sellers as a rebuilding team, perhaps they could listen to deals for point guard to pair alongside No. 1 overall pick Victor Wembanyama.

"The San Antonio Spurs already have a solid point guard in Tre Jones, but Gregg Popovich has just been reluctant to play him heavy minutes alongside Victor Wembanyama (in spite of plenty of evidence that it helps the rookie star).," Bleacher Report writes. "The front office might just have to force its coach's hand by acquiring a higher-profile 1 like Dejounte Murray (who's reportedly been a target)."

A Murray return to San Antonio would be wild, but the Atlanta Hawks are also thinking about keeping the All-Star guard. Regardless of whether Murray is the target or not, getting another point guard will certainly help the team.

"The "Jeremy Sochan at point guard" experiment was fine to try for a bit. If it had worked, San Antonio's size and positional versatility would've been nightmarish," Bleacher Report writes. "But now that we know that Wembanyama is already ready compete for wins, it's time to surround him with more traditional talent, like a point guard who can set him up for some easier looks."
