Devin Booker Ready For Suns' Star Trio to Push Each Other

The Phoenix Suns will feature Kevin Durant, Devin Booker and Bradley Beal on the court together.

It's hard to find more bigger names than the Phoenix Suns' starting lineup ahead of 2023-24.

While trade rumors continue to swirl around Deandre Ayton and his future, the Suns will happily trot out a three-headed scoring monster of Kevin Durant, Devin Booker and Bradley Beal.

Booker has been in the Valley since being drafted by the organization in 2015 and has slowly refined his skills to reach his present form as arguably the best shooting guard in the league.

Booker was joined by Durant at last year's trade deadline, forming one of the top duos in the league that only looks to be strengthened with more time spent together.

The trio was complete when the Suns acquired Beal over the summer, giving Phoenix a dynamic backcourt with one of the best forwards to ever play the game alongside the 1-2 combo.

Needless to say, Booker is excited to have some incredible talent around him. In a recent interview with GQ, Booker said he's looking forward to the trio helping push each other in hopes of bringing back a NBA title to Phoenix:

"I’d say the competition level," Booker said when asked what he's most looking forward to this season. "I’ve been a big fan of those guys for a really long time, so just seeing how they operate. Iron-sharpens-iron mentality. Just keep it highly competitive between us. I know we all have a great deal of respect for each other. But we plan to keep pushing each other. I think that’s the domino effect, and everyone else will follow suit if they see us all getting after it."

When asked about Durant specifically wanting to come to Phoenix to play with Booker, he said:

"It’s hard to put into words. A guy I have a great deal of respect for, and always have. I don’t know if this is public information, but I used to have a Fathead of him in my room. I used to go to sleep looking at KD every night on my wall. Now we’re teammates. I also have a tweet from 2011 or 2012 where I said KD is my favorite player, so all just real full-circle moments. I take it in and embrace it. It’s something 20 or 25 years ago I would have thought was crazy as hell."

The Suns have their Media Day scheduled for Oct. 2 while their first taste of preseason action will come on Oct. 8.
