There's been plenty of hype around new Phoenix Suns power forward Bol Bol, and rightfully so. The 7-2 playmaker is coming off his best season as a pro and now has the opportunity to learn behind some of the best basketball players on the planet as the Suns chase their first NBA championship.

Some believe Bol is more talented than recent No. 1 pick Victor Wembanyama - who arrives to the San Antonio Spurs with a hype train only similar to LeBron James in terms of expectations to emerge as a generational athlete.

Basketball Hall of Famer Tim Hardaway Sr. says Bol can be better than Wemby:

“I think he’s better than Victor Wembanyama. Bol Bol has better physical talent and ready to play in the NBA right now than Victor is,” said Hardaway.

“A lot of people don’t understand about this signing of Bol Bol,” said Hardaway. “To me, Bol Bol, a lot of people don’t know about him. I think he’s going to have a great chance out there to show what he can do."

Bol is still just 23-years-old and offers a world of upside in Phoenix's rotation. Recently, The Magic Insider's Jeremy Brener told Inside The Suns Phoenix was a great landing spot for Bol:

"I think Bol is going to learn a lot from Kevin Durant. Their bodies are so similar, and Durant has proven to be very durable over his career for the most part. Bol can't just magically turn into Durant; no one can. Fans shouldn't expect him to become KD-lite nor be surprised if this turns out to be a one-year stop in Bol's career," he said.

"The Suns added a lot of veteran players that have seen playoff action. Those are the ones who will round out the rotation in the playoffs. Bol Bol has to outplay a bunch of vets.

"That being said, he'll have some opportunity as the player with the most upside among Phoenix's transactions."
