It's been less than 24 hours since news first broke that the Phoenix Suns were landing Bradley Beal, and the NBA community has done nothing but applaud owner Mat Ishbia and general manager James Jones.

Beal waived his no-trade clause to land with Phoenix, and the Suns now add a massive scoring threat to go along with Kevin Durant and Devin Booker.

Though framework is still being discussed and finalized, the Suns are sending Chris Paul, Landry Shamet, second-round picks and future pick swaps as well.

Paul - very much past his prime - and Shamet (a guard Suns fans couldn't wait to get rid of) along with second-round picks was considered a massive win for a shooting guard who is a three-time All-NBA selection and averaged 23 points per game last season.

The initial deal was great for Phoenix, but as more details emerge on how the final trade is coming together, things keep getting better for the Suns:

It was reported that Washington was also sending guard Jordan Goodwin back to Phoenix. Goodwin is a lengthy, defensive-minded player that could thrive under new head coach Frank Vogel.

Along with Goodwin, forward Isaiah Todd is also apparently coming back to Phoenix.

ESPN's Brian Windhorst (h/t Evan Sidery) also believes the Suns will be keeping their second-round pick in the 2023 NBA Draft this Thursday:

Phoenix still has plenty of work to do surrounding the roster in hopes of capturing a franchise first NBA title next season, though recent developments (two young players and keeping their current draft pick come Thursday) on top of the original Beal deal is encouraging.
