The Phoenix Suns - like many other teams - were merely bystanders for the 2023 NBA Finals, which was just wrapped up by the Denver Nuggets in five games.

Phoenix hopes to capture their own franchise-first NBA title much like Denver just did, and with a team that will feature Devin Booker and Kevin Durant, oddsmakers don't believe they're too far off.

Odds for next season's NBA champion were released, and the Suns have the fourth-best odds.

The Suns hope new head coach Frank Vogel can make good on his comments from his opening press conference, which embraced the pressure of title expectations from day one:

"I've been with teams where we're going to take the long road and that can be fun, that journey can be fun. But I love the mindset that we're going to go after right away with all we have," said Vogel.

"I don't give a damn about what the outside narrative is around expectations or whatnot. I care about what our expectations are, and our expectations are to go for it this year and hopefully every year that I'm here."

The futures of Deandre Ayton and Chris Paul on top of nine free agents will make for a very interesting summer. Oddsmakers believe however the next few months pan out, they'll be one of the top teams in the league.
