PHOENIX -- The Phoenix Suns aren't playing on MLK day, though they do have matchups sandwiched before and after the holiday.

However, the holiday and impact Martin Luther King Jr. had is still something notable for Suns players:

"We all love MLK day and what he sacrificed, his ability to give back to everybody in the civil rights movement was a big, primary reason of why I love to give back and continue to put my foot forward, reaching out and being that mentor," Bradley Beal said.

"Being a steward of understanding and pushing our world forward."

Devin Booker also added, "I personally give back in the most authentic ways, that's what resonates with me. Anytime I can see somebody in passing in a natural, authentic way, I like to make their day. [If] somebody's excited to see me I'd rather have a conversation than a photo."

The Suns are currently 21-18 on the season thus far, winning their last seven-of-ten contests. They play host to the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday evening, a team that's defeated them in both prior matchups.
